Hi everyone
Just to say I sent off my online application to cccs on Saturday and am waiting for my welcome pack. Is anyone aware of how long before it should arrive. Bit nervous but Im sure Ive done the right thing. So fed up of robbing peter to pay paul and struggling to keep my head above water. Bit worried about possible hassle from creditors too. Anyway hope to post some more soon.
Cheers Molly x

Hi Molly, my welcome pack from CCCS arrived within a week and it was such a relief when it did. I've been on a DMP since March with CCCS and I am still getting hassle from creditors but I guess it takes a while for it to settle down and for the creditors to see regular payments being made. I get hassle from all of my smaller creditors but my larger ones have been surprisingly quiet at the moment. The best way to deal with the creditors is to tell them you are with CCCS and give your reference number and put the phone down. I just ignore them when they ring now as they know I am on a dmp so there is no point in speaking to them any more as I can't afford to pay any more than I already am.
You've done the right thing though and it does get easier once you get into it and start managing your budget.
Good luck and keep posting.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
