Managing Agent's Questionnaire

We have sold our flat :j I contacted the Managing agent's to ask them if they would return the Questionnaire quickly and I would make sure they would get their fee. I didn't want this to hold up the sale as we have lost two sales already. They were true to their word and returned it the day after they received it. I now find out they have charged £320 (not sure if that is plus vat or not) which seems exorbitant. Does anyone have an opinion as to if this charge is reasonable, bearing in mind I did ask them to do it quickly. If not is there any regulation regarding these fees and anyone I can complain to. I don't want to rock the boat until I have exchanged and I am pleased they responded so quickly but it seems an awful lot of money for a straight forward questionnaire.

Unfortunately, unless the lease specifies a maximum charge for providing such information, which I doubt, they charge whatever they can get away with.
However, if they are charging high fees for maintaining the property also the leaseholders may decide either to purchase the freehold or exercise the right to manage and get rid of them.0
