Can anyone help re info from debt company?

hello, I'm new so I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place...

I've got an old debt I've been paying off through BCW. By my calculation it's paid off and has infact been overpaid thing is (funnily enough) they don't seem to want to respond to my letters!! I moved house and told them my new address, nothing. I've written again just notifying them of my address and asking for a balance and still nothing. What do I do now?

Are they legally obliged to provide me with a statement of what I've paid them (although obviously I already know that) and the balance and interest dates and stuff?

I'd rather not have to have a fight with them but if they owe me money then...

I'd be grateful for any advice. Ta.

You are right they have to provide you with statements as they are managing your finances. I have had a similar problem and ended up overpaying by almost £3K in total. I am currently pursuing them in relation to neglegence and have managed to get some money back from different creditors.

You need to write to them and notify them of your concerns if not call them.

You could try a standard CCA letter, as this requries them to give you an upto date balance.

Or do a SAR and demand all payments, balances and charges.
