Best-selling Sanatogen vitamin pills are dyed with harmful additives
the article can be found here
This product is carried by Boots and I have been told by their customer service that they have chosen to not recall this product. I am very concerned as I have purchased enough of the ProNatal vitamins to see me through my pregnancy.
Is anyone else concerned? Should I be?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I had my baby 12 weeks ago and also took these vitamins throughout my pregnancy and continue to do so because I feed him. Pregnacare is much better but also very pricey unfortunately. I took Pregnacare with the first baby.
I think I'm going to give Sanatogen a call and query the article. Will be watching your thread.

I just looked at the link and it does say Sanatogen Gold, which is different to the ProNatal. I took ProNatal during my pregnancy and my 6 month old baby is fine. I also work as Manager of a Boots Healthcare counter, so I think it likely that if you went back to Boots and expressed your concern they would at the very least exchange them for you. No harm in trying anyway. I must state that Boots don't refund or exchange vitamins as a rule, as they cannot be resold and the company loses money, so any exchange would be a gesture of goodwill. Personally, I would exchange these for you out of goodwill, but I can't vouch for any other store.2008 wins £4405 2009 wins £7194 2010 wins £9615

Also, Boots are very prompt at recalling anything with a potential risk to consumers, if they have decided not to recall them I would find that reassuring.2008 wins £4405 2009 wins £7194 2010 wins £9615
