My DFW journey a year on....

Just some ramblings of mine that are in my head......I do lurk on this site a lot as it's of great support to me. So i thought i'd put down my journey so far (i do have my own Blog so this is just a summary)

My LBM arrived in February 2007 - we had moved house in October 2006 and always seemed to be short of money so I did an list of outgoings etc. and discovered that our basic outgoings before anything else were £1000 more a month than we were bringing in!!!!!! Nightmare!

Anyway - I didn't stop crying for three days.....and found this site...which saved me and I will be forever grateful for the advice given.....awwww see I'm welling up again.......anyway - DMP began in April 2007.

Absolutely any extra money I get goes towards paying off debt - even stupid things for example if I stay with my mum for a week, anything she buys that I would have done, like a paper for 45p I add up and then transfer that to debt. Every little helps and if it knocks off a year here and there then great!!! I have sold on eBay and Amazon loads of things as even if things go for 99p then thats 99p less that I owe!!!!

The only sticking point is  Hubby  who is still largely in denial - if I started on this well....we'd be hear a long time....briefly...he STILL spend's money like water and I have had to treat him like a child and take away his cash point card but still this month he took mine out my purse and took out £60 on 15th May and has spent it all on what? I don't know!!!!!

Needless to say he hasn't sold a thing - he collects certain magazines but refuses to sell them as 'they will be worth something one day'

Why is it that I gave up my weekly dance class at £6 to save money but he always has money for cigarettes!!!!!

Anyway where was I.......oh yes -it's a long old road but we will get there - we found this site just in time - I think even just a month later we'd have been staring at bankruptcy and repossession.
