MBNA & Transcom

Hi there, has anyone had any dealings lately with Transcom/Arrow Global? Hubby has a debt of £6,700 with MBNA which we have just been advised has been bought by Arrow Global and dealt with through Transcom so i thought. However, after just one conversation with them to say our debts are being dealt with through CCCS and they would be informed of where to send future payment, we have just received a letter from Cope's Solicitors with Notice of Lega Proceedings. I rang Transcom we an offer of £3,000 which they refused, then offered to increase our monthly payments from £19 to £50, they say they want £265, but if i want to remortgage our property and offer a settlement of £5500 then they would contact their client MBNA and put the offer forward!! Now i'm confused, spoke to MBNA again they say the debt is nothing to do with them now it's with Transcom speak to them which is a shame 'cus MBNA just done me a great early settlement on my own account, but Transcom obviously don't know it's now their debt!! The Solicitors said they will possibly go for a CCJ then/or Charging Order of Attachment of Earnings. Trying to avoid this as we have just moved and paid off a Charging Order so really don't want another, anyone had any dealings with them to know how harsh they are and what they are likely to do?
