wight...we were thinking possibly of staying Shanklin way or not too far from the sea. any tips really appreciated. we have a toddler and possibly a teenager with us for the may bank holiday.

What sort of accommodation are you looking for. We have booked 9 nights camping at Whitecliff for £146.50 including the ferry,for 2 adults and a 3 & 8 yr old boys. The site has loads to do including own beach, you can get food on site, they also do static caravans, all this according to there website. Its worth having a look.

the place sounds really quite good. just bene on the phone to them so hopefully we should manage a few days away . booking shortly at the moment so thanks everso. also nice to hear that the weather is glorious over there when it is cold and miserable here in london!

The beach at Whitecliff bay is very nice. Lots of sand in the middle and more rocky interesting bits at either end.
