Steaming rhubarb

This may be a daft question, but for dinner I am steaming smoked cod and vegetables, and wondered whether I could steam some rhubarb at the same time.
I put the fish in the bottom steamer, the veg in the middle and thought I would wrap the rhubarb and sugar in silver foil and put on the top tier.
Will this work, and will the rhubarb taste of fish ?

I think you could steam rhubarb, I'm not sure of either the fishyness or doing it in foil. Rhubarb is funny stuff! I would put the rhubarb and sugar in a bowl and cover it with foil making sure it wasn't touching the rhubarb.0

We steamed rhubarb the other day, the first attempt was a disaster  We have a three-tier steamer and filled one tier with rhubarb. The top of the 'pile' (sorry, don't know how else to describe it lol) was raw, the bottom had been steamed to death  When we tried again with less, it was lovely. But it took ages to cook it all so we bunged it all in big saucepans - much quickerBulletproof0

Thanks for the replies. I thought it would probably take the same amount of time as the fish and veg, but obviously not
Oh well, I'll stick it in a pan and do it that way.
