Hi All...
I took out a loan with Alliance + Leicester with their own insurance, i am going to start looking at outside companies who offer cheaper insurance. Firstly can you guys give me some pointers on cheap but good companies to use and secondly, if i ask Alliance + Leicester to cancel my insurance can they refuse..? or even ask for the loan to be paid in full because of it.

Have a look on moneysupermarket for payment protection or income protection insurance. Remember though - if the worst did happen your a&l loan is unsecured.
As for A&L, they cannot withdraw the loan completely, but they can 're-score' you and charge a higher interest rate. How far into the loan are you?
