Pizza Stone help required

I wanted to make individual pizzas today so used trays rather than the stone - nowhere neat as good. Boooo

I use my pizza stone under the grill to cook hm naan - heat it til its scorching hot then chuck on the dough and both sides cook at once under the grill. However it takes an age of having the elec grill on to get it hot nad I'm wondering if I could use the pizza stone on the gas hob to heat up - then flip the bread. I use the stone as it gives a better tandoor type effect than cooking in a metal pan.

I have foudn a stone online that says it can be used on gas but it looks very different to mine - and Jamie O sells ne that goes on a BBQ.....

if the pizza stone meant a lot to me i wouldnt risk it. If you can easily replace it then sure give it a go. I have a bad feeling it would crack but there's onlu one way to find out!!! ive merged this with our pizza stone thread. Do read back in case it's been discused before
