GWAP stands for Games With A Purpose. From their site:

When you play a game at Gwap, you aren't just having fun. You're helping the world become a better place. By playing our games, you're training computers to solve problems for humans all over the world.

There are currently five games

- ESP Game
- Verbosity
- Tag a Tune
- Squigl
- Matchin

I'm addicted to Verbosity. I've not managed to play 'Tag A Tune' yet as it's always full.

Here's an article on The Register about it.... however it still doesn't explain how it's helping the world (and according to several of the comments others agree)! :rolleyes:
Anyway I still think the games are fun time wasters!! :j
