What should I get from Ocado?

I'm about to place my first order with Ocado. I have never shopped there or at Waitrose before as I see it as far too expensive. Plus I'm addicted to spending my coupons at Tesco! But, I've a 15% off a £60 spend code so thought I'd take the plunge.
So could you tell me what's good and what you love there?
Is it worth bumping my basket to a £75 spend to get a free delivery?
Or shall I forget the whole thing?
I've looked at mysupermarket.co.uk, but your ideas would be helpful. TIA.

Hi, I personally wouldn't bother as you will probably save £9 if you shopped at Tesco anyway (obviously depending on what you are going to buy). That and the lovely clubcard points you get!
Just my opinion though:smileyheaRachel xx0 -
I shopped with them once when I got a voucher for £15.00 off a £85.00 shop. The food wasn't anything special for the prices I paid, and I estimated I could of got about 2 or 3 more bags of shopping if I'd stayed with Tesco. Then again that was when Tesco was a little cheaper.
I will say to stay away from their own label potato salad, it's as hard as nails and tastes rank!
All in all I found I had more grocery options with Tesco, and found myself upping my shopping budget substituting things I could of got with Tesco cheaper which defeats the purpose of using a discount voucher.
I think I was more excited about the colour coordinated bags they give you for your freezer, cupboards etc0 -
ocado are now doing price match on there grocery items with Tesco, so maybe worth a go.
I find there meat better quality than tesco too (they don't sell the cheap and nasty)0 -
Try Asda, I used to spend £80 a week with Tesco and now am only spending £60. I haven't noticed a difference in quality, they arrive on time and if they make a substitute it is for something of higher value which they don't charge you for - win win situation.0

I used to use Ocado before I had a Waitrose nearby. If you want some fancy items then they are worth using - they do have a very good organic range. I did only use them when I had a free devlivery code or a discount for spending £25 which they stopped doing and now you do have to spend a whopping great amount to make it worthwhile.
I found that the bread was always quite close to its best before date when I used them but that may have improved.
It's swings and roundabouts with the own brand goods I am afraid.
Delivery people were always cheery though!0 -
Thanks for the replies.
I’ve decided to go ahead with the order as they have some good deals at the moment. Mainly on stuff I buy anyway like PG Tips, Always, Coca Cola, chicken thighs. There’s definitely things in the basket I wouldn’t usually get just to reach the minimum spend. But, I thought, just this once, then back to Tesco.
I didn’t know about the colour bags – quite looking forward to getting those. I am sooo sad!!0 -
The bags are ace, almost as good as the bag for life lol.
As stated above, the own brands are a bit hit n miss, the cereals are ok tho.
Definately worth a try if buying for a party or special occassion and yes, the delivery staff are lovely0
