Hi - just wondered if anybody can help with some info on Red Castle Recoveries.
Today, I received a couple of missed calls on my mobile and a couple on my landline (no messages left). It was a number I didn't recognise from Worthing. On doing a Google search I have discovered it's Red Castle Debt Recoveries and the Google search also implies they specialise in utilities recoveries - I'm not in arrears with utilities and never have been and catalogue debts. I do have a debt with Next catalogue for about £65 which is covered under my DMP and Next are fine with my DMP payments.
I'm a bit baffled! As far as I am aware all my debts are still will my original creditors who I've been paying under my DMP and I've received no letters to say that any my debts have been passed to DCA's.
I tried to ring them back out of curiosity but the line went dead. I only rang the number back because I have relatives in Worthing which is why I recognised the prefix.
I don't particularly wish to speak to them but I am just curious to find out which creditor would pass a debt to them and why I've not been informed and are creditors allowed to pass on debts without informing me?

Hi,
Red Castle Recoveries are a DCA and at the moment they have been dealing with an unsecured debt on behalf of First Plus.
They have been great to deal with and really helpful when I contacted them. I too didn't receive a letter initially so I wasn't sure what was happening - although it all became clear in the end.0
