Asda returns?

I've found a DVD recorder that looks good, and Asda has the lowest price online. I've never shopped there before; how hard is it to return an ordered item if it isn't up to snuff? (It looks like you have to return it via mail, not instore, which is fine as we're not that close to an Asda).

And if the problem is that it's just not user-friendly and it's functions don't work as well as we wanted, do we tell them that if we return it -- or will they only take it back if it doesn't work? The web site in one area says they'll take any order back in 7 days, and elsewhere says something about they'll take any *unopened* order back in 14 days if you're not completely satisfied. Which doesn't make sense, because how do you know if you're satisfied until you open it?

Edit: I've decided to go with a different model from Amazon. If anyone has a clue about Asda returns, it would still be good to know for future reference.

Have you checked out the review sites for the model you've seen? They usually give you an idea of the strengths/weaknesses of the particular product - and a general overview of what it'll do......

Yes, I always do that extensively, but you never really know about something until you use it (not to mention reviews are usually mixed). Which is why I don't like to buy unless something can be returned easily.
