I have looked at this offer when it came in the post yesterday from Vigin Media. I have applied for the card today. Looking forward for the £40 credit on my Virgin Media account.
Also good to note is that they offer 0% on balance transfer for "15 MONTHS" but put a charge on at 2.98% (not the best deal) of the amount transferred.
Also you can tranfer up to 95% of the amount of credit you recieve to an bank or saving account - but again at the charge of 2.98%. So as long as interest you gain is greater before you need to pay off the credit card you could be quids in too.
They offer 0% on new purchases - for only three months though...
So those with a Virgin Media account get in quick as offer can be withdrawn at any time.0 -

I applied for a virgin media credit card online today, and I am a virgin media customer, but I didn't know about this offer will I be able to do anything?0
-
jammiev, i don't know whether you will be entitled to it again as you already got the benefit of the £40 credit before. Worth cancelling and trying again anyway. However, it will mean going through another credit check.0

amandathepanda, ring Virgin Money again to see if they are prepared to offer you £40 off your next Vigin Media bill. As you may have noticed, they normally ask for your Virgin Media account number during the application process for the Vigin Money Credit Card...0

When I took up this offer I had to go through a particular web link - you could phone up and say the link wasn't working and you didn't realise you wouldn't get the credit without using that link. They were pretty quick with the credit too - a couple of months I think. The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

I have a Virgin Media cable account in my name and I also have a Virgin credit card in my name so I cannot take up this offer. This offer is available to members of active Virgin Media cable households who become new Virgin Credit Card customers and use their card for a retail purchase or balance transfer within 90 days of the account being opened. Customers must provide their Virgin Media account number on the application.
However, given the fact that it says "This offer is available to members of active Virgin Media cable households who become new Virgin Credit Card customers" do you think that if my wife applied for a card in her name and quoted the account number for our household we would get the £40 reduction?0 -

Quite likely I would say. When I applied I think I just had to put my customer reference. Worth a go I reckon.0
