your best bet would be to find out about your local spiritualist churches and see whats on offer there - perhaps attend some services/groups and meet and talk to people first. You can get a better idea of who is in your area and what they offer without fear of being ripped off by fakes.:j Debt-Free-Wannabe! :jDeclutter/Ebay/Savings0

word of mouth is always good
i went to see one on wed (she has a really good reputation where i live and is booked up months in advance) she was really good came up with some stuff that a stranger would not have known about meThe only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about - Oscar Wilde:beer:

i have seen a few mediums in the past, some good, some not so. i also found spiritualist church very good after i lost my dad. you would certainly get the best info there. i would avoid looking in the classified ads, as anyone who is really good should not need to advertise.
one other thing i would say is that i haven't seen a medium for so long, because i suddenly realised i didn't need to. this has told me that i was not so strong at a certain time in my life, and i was looking for answers that no one could give me. i just had to work things out for myself and make my own choices. it is easy to misinterpret something when you are emotionally needy, and also easy to make things 'fit'.
good luck with it.Blonde jokes are one-liners so men can remember them...;)0 -

In what way are you curious about this and what do you want to explore?
If you are after evidence of afterlife, or want a message from a loved one who has passed, then go to a spiritualist church. There are no guarantees you will get a message but you will see what their services entail and what evidence is offered.
If you are happy with what you see and you want a personal reading, ask the chairperson about which mediums will do this for you.
It will cost a couple of pounds donation to attend a church service and you will probably get the opportunity for tea/coffee and chat afterwards when you can talk to members of the congregation/chairperson/medium.
Don't answer any adverts in newspapers or magazines, don't ring up any of the psychics on the telephone on premium rate lines and take no notice of those pyschic channels on the TV.0 -
I definatly agree with all the above. DO NOT respond to adverts!
Word of mouth is by far the best way to go, as it is in most areas in life.
Not sure where you are based but if in the South, then a good place to start would be the SAGB (Spiritulist Association of Great Britain) based in London.
As mentioned above most towns throughout the UK have there own Spiritualist Church, however in my local town we also have a Spiritulist Centre which is not based in a church instead their monthly meets are held in a secondry school.
Its all about where you feel more comfortable. I would go along to all and see what you think. But do go with an open mind and see what happens...;)
All the best x0 -
I would also say please avoid these exhibitions that are held at hotels, where you pay £3 to go in, then if you want a reading it will cost you in access of £25+.
i would def agree with going via the spirtialist church, also go a couple of times and get to know who is on the circuit.
I would also say be sure in your mind what your looking for answers to, years ago I had 3 visits to the same medium over a period of time, I had a lot of questions I wanted answers to, my parents lost their 1st daughter to cancer b4 I was born, and its not the questions you can bring u over sun lunch.
i last saw a medium back in 2005, while I was out in cyprus, (long to go back for a session), but she was 10/10xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I think I am looking more to the future than the past, if that makes sense??Oh....I'm not going to lie to you......At the end of the day, when alls said and done......do you know what I mean.........TIDY0

Well, don't go to a spiritualist church then. Mediums do not predict the future, they are purely there as a link to the spirit world, to give evidence of life after death, to bring comfort and messages of love from people you were connected with in this life.
And to be perfectly honest, if anyone tells you they can predict the future then you might as well believe that the moon is made of green cheese. You will definitely be wasting your money seeing someone who says they can tell the future.
A clairvoyant sees spirit. Clairsentient - senses spirit. Clairaudient - hears spirit. Medium - links between this world and the spirit world.
Someone who foretells the future - scammer who is after your money.
I hope that puts it into perspective.0 -
