What to do...

I have a dilemma, and you're the best people to help me

I have £700 from the sale of OH's car sitting in the bank. It's been there a week cos I just can't decide what to do with it (not random spending, you understand!).

I have 2 options:

1) OH's Barclaycard LOB 4.9% card is now at £1150. I could pay £700 to this leaving £450, as there is the real possibility that he can clear the remaining £450 from next month's wage if he keeps his card in his pocket in the meantime. Min payment is £31.

2) EDF for electricity. Joined the reduce, reward thingy just like a good MSE monkey, but it has transpired that they didn't update the day reading at all from the last reading, which makes it look like we haven't used any day rate leccy for 6 months. They said oops, sorry, didn't you notice. Erm, no I didn't, I trust you to do your job. So there is £400 outstanding on the leccy bill excluding the £65 a month we pay by d/d. The options to clear this are to increase the d/d to £105 for 12 months, or something along those lines. Bearing in mind also, warmer weather's here now and horrendous storage heaters have been turned off....

After the ramble, for those of you that have made it this far!.... Shall I pay £500 off the Bcard, £200 off the leccy, or shall I pay £700 off the Bcard as I can finally see a light at the end of that tunnel and would be so morale boosting to have that cleared & closed by the end of June. There are other debts, but they are LOB at lower APRs.

Your thoughts would be appreciated

hi what if you paid £500 off card and £200 off leccy
instead of it being cleared next month itll just be a month later
at least it will be cleared in the near future and as you said the leccy shouldnt be that much from now on
