Arrow Global/Fredrickson International

Hi guys
I need some help!
received a letter from Arrow Global this morning saying they now own a debt i owed to Orange Communications. the debt is old but not statute barred.
Glabal have appointed Fredrickson international to collect on their behalf.
My question is: I know that mobile phone contracts are not included in the consumr credit act. however is it reasonable to ask them to provide some sort of proof of the debt? If so what could i reasonably ask them to provide?
I have looked on here and CAG and found lots of reports about both companies which fits them into the catergory of bottom feeders but i am happy to pay as i am in a self managed DMP so they will get pro rata payments i just think i should be entitled to something like a signed contract or evidence of the debt. Surely they cant just demand money without proof of how the debt is made up?
Any help as always is welcome
