Applying for mortgage

Hi everyone

This is probably a silly question but when your applying for a mortgage and you provide all the supporting documents - what are the people who make the decisions looking for? For example, your bank statements?

Thanks

We have just moved to a different lender and had to provide
    Passports
    Utility Bill
    3 months bank statements
    3 months payslips

They want to make sure you can afford the monthly repayments before lending you the money.

    Hope that helps
