Not sure this is in right folder.
Can somebody please help ?
I have 2 sky+ boxes in my house and it costs roughly £40 a month.
I'm having problems when I record programmes on 1 box. They record fine, and 80% of the time I can watch the programmes fine, but when I play the 20% of programme back, they freeze and it then takes about 5 minutes for the sky+ box to sort itself out (turns off, then hangs) and finally I can try again. It freezes again and so the cycle goes on. If I try watching something while I am recording another programme and it freezes, when the sky+ box shuts itself down, it cancels the programme I am recording, meaning I lose that programme, or sometimes it starts recording when the sky+ box starts up again, meaning I've missed some of the programme I'm recording.
I have spoke with SKY and they advise me, I pay for the signal from them, and either have to pay £10.75 per month for a sky+ box warrently or I have to pay £65 for an engineer to come out and look at the problem.
Without the box I am unable to view the signal they send me down the cable, so I'm stuck, however I'm not sure I should have to pay each time for the sky+ box, that basically I am hiring off them to view the signal they send me.
I am disgusted with the way I am being treated by them and don't believe its right. If you brought items from a shop that were supposed to work together and one kept failing surely you would take the item back to the shop and they'd sort it out for you.
It seems to me like its yet another BIG company trying it on with valid customers. Surely I'm not the only person having this problem.
Any help would be very much appreicated.
