Correcting errors on my credit reports

Can anyone tell me how to go about correcting a number of errors on my credit reports?

basically i sold my house in march and on the 17th of march I paid off all outstanding debt including 2 accounts with registered defaults.I also moved back with my parents and got put on the electoral roll on the 15 April at the new address.

Due to just being refused a mortgage on the grounds that I had 2 outstanding/unpaid defaulted accounts which is simply not true I have registered with all three agencies online to check things out right up to the minute.

The problem I have is that the infromation held by the three main credit reporting agencies about these 2 accounts in particular and my electoral roll status is all over the place

e.g.

Call credit
Loan A default but settled - updated 30/04/08
Loan B default - still outstanding - updated 30/04/08
Not on electoral roll at present address

Experian
Loan A - default - still outstanding - updated 30/03/08
Loan B default - still outstanding - updated 02/03/08
On electoral roll at present address

Equifax
Loan A - default - still outstanding - updated 06/05/08
Loan B default but settled - updated 24/03/08
Not on electoral roll at present address

so basically all three organisations hold differant information about the 2 defaulted accounts and my electoral roll status. I contacted experian and was told in a very curt manner to contact the compnaies direct - I contacted the companies only to be told they have sent the updates so basically i am going around in circles:mad: as can be seen by the various dates and info if all three reporting agencies talked to each other it could all be sorted out as each company has one correct piece of information about one of the accounts or electorl roll info so I believe the loan companies when they state that they have sent the information to the credit reference agencies.

Any advice where to go from here?? are there any template letters I can send out to get things sorted - I actually have letters from the companies that registered the defaults that the accounts have been repaid/settled.(in full btw)

thanks
