how to check what stage mortgage application is at?!

Hi there, I am in the process of a FTB mortgage through Abbey, got DIP and sent full application away 2weeks ago, Have received all my pay slips, id,etc back as I went through broker I was sent this stuff back from them however I have since not heard anything from broker or Abbey, is there any way that I can check the stage of my application as the property I am looking to purchase is due for completion on 16/06 so time I ain't got.

many thanks.

P.S I have posted similar messages on this site & am aware that Abbey have a back-log but it is really just to see if there is anything I can do to check where we are at. thanks

no I've not contacted them direct as thought broker would be doing this but not heard anything from broker either, do you think I should give them a call direct and you think they would be ok with that since broker has dealt with everything so far?
    thanks
P.S I have my DIP with a ref number on it but I don't know what branch the broker went through is there a general number I can phone to check.

hi, just ring abbey direct, thats what i would do. the broker may not go out of his way for you as he has already got your business.

i used to ring every week for an update, have you a reference number etc to quote them when you ring.

there should be a number for mortgages with abbey online somewhere, try abbey website.
