Help discount meal 22nd May London?! (Seeing Dalai Lama!)

hi there,

Ok that must sound like a funny title! I'm going with three friends next Thursday to see the Dalai Lama talk at the Royal Albert Hall, then after we are taking part in a peaceful demonstration to encourage positive relations between Tibet and China. There is going to be a chain of 2000 people snaking between the Royal Albert Hall and the Chinese Embassy and the Dalai Lama will shake the first person's hand in the chain and it will be passed on to the Chineses Embassy! So excited.

But we will need to get something to eat after for dinner and wondered if anyone knew of any vouchers or discounts we could use for near the Royal Albert Hall. The end of high street kensington is pretty close where there is a wagamama and a giraffe but I don't think there are any discounts for there at the mo. Or we could go somewhere else in London.

Can anyone help? Three of us in the party are on benefits due to illness so we are trying to get it as cheap as possible.

Hi,

There is a very cheap Chinese cafe' opposite Wagamama called Stick and Bowl. I think the meals are about £5-6 with no other charge. The potions are big and food basic but good. I've been going there for years. No discount code though.

Thanks for the advice, sounds good and very in keeping with the theme! We will probably check it out if we can't find anything cheaper but can't imagine even with say a 2 for 1 deal you aren't going to spend less than £5-6. Wonder if it may be packed though with this event on. Great.
