Remortgage and deeds?

Can I ask a question.......

we are remortgaging and had problem 3 weeks ago and mortgage was pulled about 5 days before due to complete due to an admin error. This has now be resolved with underwritters overturning mortgage decission and we got new offer yesterday.

solicitor doing conveyancing has called to say " applied for money to be drawn, everything went ok , sending deeds to new lender and hoping to complete by wednesday "

Am I right in thinking he would not be sending the actual deeds to new lender unless they had sent confirmation that money is to be released? Due to what happened a few weeks ago I am weary of celebrating to early. I know wednesday is not far away but would like a weekend not worrying about the remortgage.

Can anyone help? Are deeds only sent once everything is ok?

thanks
