Hi and well done on taking the first step back. That's the worst bit over with ;) .

I'm no expert on SOAs so I'll leave that to someone else :D .

One thing I noticed though, £500 is a very low take home, well below minimum wage if it was full time so I'm assuming it's part time. Could you not get another part time job to boost your income?

Well done again on coming back :T .

Yes it is part time, The other part time job i have is random Theatre work, but it comes in either floods or trickles.

I would get another part time job, but i have spent the past three months trying to get this job back, as working there was the last time i can remember being happy at all.

Hopefully there might be a full time contract come availiable in the next few months...
That £500 is the absolute minimum by the way, I'm pretty good at picking up extra shifts to boost the income as well :)

So, I think i may have this thread as some sort of spend diary and so that i can keep track of what I'm spending, and so people here can moan at me when i go off the rails and keep me in check :D

So yesterday, i managed to spend nothing... not a thing. Though i didn't leave the house, so that could have helped lol.

Today, i needed pet food :( So that was a fiver down for two boxes of crickets, which should hopefully last the week... hopefully, Luckily me and my sister used to share mice, and now she has no snakes that eat the small mice that mine do, i inherited the entire lot, yay for getting 6 weeks of mice for nothing! So that will save me some money.

Was very tempted today to buy a new frog and a new tarantula, but after realising that if I spent the £60 to get them I would have been truly shafted, I managed to resist, which is good for me, as once I hold an animal, I normally just buy it lol! (I even held a large snake and managed to resist that also).

I do have a question also to post, I've got a phone interview with CCCS on the 29th, what should i expect? and what should I have prepared? To be honest, I'm really not sure on the state of my finances, I've made a few guesses, but I think there are two, possibly three other debts floating around out there that I can't remember, or have lost the paper work for... Are CCCS able to help track these down for me? Also CCCS said to me when i phoned to make appointment that i should try and phone my creditors and ask them to put a freeze on the accounts, is it worth doing this? And are they likely to do it? I don't like talking to them to be frank, as they don't tend to be very civil towards me and their demands for money demotivate me a little, as no matter how many times i tell them that i simply don't have it, they don't listen and keep making demands...

just whacked my debts through the snowballer, just to see...

So it looks like that i am going to fall short on payments for like 10 months... Unable to make the minimums for that long it seems...

I hope that with the help of CCCS we'll be able to get my creditors to drop their rates, When I get paid on the 23rd (It's going to be a very small pay packet, as I've just started the job, maybe £100) I'm going to phone all the creditors and offer them a token payment of £10 and see if it will stem them off for a while till things get sorted...

Maybe i might need to get a second part time job... There is no way I'm leaving my current job as I love it so much and really regret leaving there late last year... Want to work my way up there and get into the management program, in the mean time i need a way of making me some substantial extra cash it seems... Sadly i doubt i qualify for any benefits at all living with my parents, which sucks, as I have to pay rent just like anyone else, yet I don't earn much.. We'll see i guess.

Oh and as for experian, I've used their free trial already before... Doubt i can do it again :(

Woo work was awesome.. Went to the doctors today and gonna have to pay for a repeat prescription now :( Anyone know how much this is? And is the cost per item or for the entire thing??.. May have to see if my Mum will lend me some cash to get it tbh...

    Hiya

£7.10 an item now, I believe (free contraceptives etc though!) If you get many prescriptions you'd be better off with a pre-payment certificate.
