  • Spoke to Munro's in EK and got a quote of £22 which sounds cool. I'll go for a back, crack and sack day a lady in my life does!
  • Just wondering if you've ever had this done ?

I waxed my hubbys chest ( around 6 hairs lol ) & he screamed like a mad woman, he said it's the worst pain that he's ever experienced, I loved every minute of it ;):D

I didn't quite follow this.....but I'm not sure I want to know :rotfl:
  • I've had a go myself - wasn't too bad. I dont mind injections and things.
  • samtheman, i get my back and shoulders done quite regularly and have done since i was about 19. beauticians don't bat an eyelid about a guy going in. i did take me quite a few salons before i found someone that was good at it and one that lasted too.

and its not that painful. take a couple of nurofen about an hour before you go in, that will numb the pain a bit.

the only part that hurts when i get it done is the part where the stubborn hairs grow at the nape of my neck - they're stubborn due to the barbers using the clippers too low!!!

How does this work? Some kind of laser treatment?

It works by electrolysis. It sends a tiny electrical signal to the hair follicles and kills them off permanently. It takes a few courses as it will only kill the hair follicles that are in their 'growth phase'. Not all hairs are in this phase as the same time so it may take a few weeks before all hairs are treated. That's what it says in the booklet she had with it (I think, I read it once last Christmas). It even works on facial hair.
