i remember about 3 months back i saw a post saying phone vodafone up if ur a pay as u talk customer and ask for ur pac number, ur sim card needs to be registered to ur name,and they will try and offer u credit or messages, i did and got £15, so i thought what the hell its been nearly 3 months il try again and the girl automatically offered me £10 to stay for another month, i said why not, so please people get on the phone again u never no ur luck just phone 191 which is the helpline or u can dial 08080945945 to get put right through

It could be who you talk to at the call center.U could hang up and try again, I have tried this many times, with around 95% success rate.
Also it could be how much credit u buy per month, they might not be so generous to low users??:j:j:j Wooooo Hooooo :j:j:j0 -

It all depends on how the agent looks at your account.
If you have have goodwill gestures from them i.e. free credit, free call or text bundles ect.
They will look at how much money you spend with them and decide how to keep your custom, the more you spend the more you are likely to be offered to stay.
It also depends on how you ask them about leaving, if you are more likely to get something off them if you phone and say 'I was thinking about leaving vodafone as O2 have offered me a better deal and they will give me X amount of minutes/texts!' and they will usually try to match that rather than just asking for your PAC code.
