I know you're right, don't know what I'm worried about except for having yet another interview where they tell me I was good but "someone else had more experience" - it doesn't seem like anyone wants to take someone with potential on and train them in the things they don't know, suppose you can't blame them really, but how do you get out of that lack of experience loop??

It's very difficult. The trick is to be employed by someone who isn't blinded by the quest for "experience".

Capability is what you can do.

Experience is what has happened to you.

    I know which I prefer.

Horay for Toto and Orlandia...or whatever name you end up calling her. Its fab and such a relief for you all. Hopefully you will be able to enjoy (if that is at all possible, can't say I did) the rest of your pregnancy. What is your due date??

Can you give me a job? :D

Congrats Toto, that's lovely news about little Orlanda :)

I'm not scared of creepy crawly type things (although there are certain ones that I would rather not be too close to), I'm not good with heights though, and I do get stupidly scared with things like stairs where you can see between the steps or bridges that you can see through. Oh and at job interviews :rotfl:

What about Orla as a name for Toto's baby ? I think it's Irish and rather lovely. Might just have a look what it means.

oooooooooh, Orla is a beautiful name!

I think it can also be spelt something like Orlaigh (or something like that!!!!)

Edit: Orlaith - knew it didn't look quite right!

There's a girl where I work called Orla, with the same spelling as you put originally Keren. :)

Ye Gods Bank of Slate, you could have warned me  THAT is horrible, I'm going to have nightmares about critters scuttling around the bedroom.

I left this thread with a toddler with a turd in his fist and come back to an infestation of nasty insects.

Lovely lovely news Toto, I'll babysit anytime - especially if you are an insect free zone.
