Request to Reassess Loan Application - Any Point?

My bank refused me a loan, although I have been with them 6 years and in the last 2-3 years my (high) salary is being paid into my cashminder account with them. I also have a ISA account and a Savers account with them. To be fair I have to say that I have a 4 years old: CCJ (satisfied), a loan default and a bank overdraft default, during to then circumstances.
I pulled my Credit Reports and all of them mention that they didn’t match me to the Register of Electors, although I have documents from my city council saying that I have been registered in April ‘08.
Can I use this fact for request the bank to reassess my loan application and also the fact that I have other two savings accounts with other bank, fact unknown to them?
And from the personal side is just the feeling that although I have good financial / credit behaviour for the last 3 years, the bank keeps punishing me for something I have done time ago, again and again. Surely all banks have some sort of internal rating, otherwise what is the point ?
Finally to my question: is there any point to request my bank reassess my loan application based on above? - Is not so much about getting that loan, but trying to break that catch 22 I’m in. Will this damage further my credit rating or is legitimate action?

I just think the bank will simpl ask you to reapply for a new loan, rather than reassess the one that you have already applied for. How long ago did you apply for this loan?

I’ve applied a week ago; but in the bank’s letter is mentioned that I can request to reassess if I’ve got new information to support it.
  • Firstly, all major financial institutions treat you like a leper if you have a CCJ (satisfied or not) or a default notice. These stay on your files for six years from the date the CCJ was granted or the default notice issued. Following the media induced credit crunch banks have become even more stringent with whom they will deal.

It won't help matters if your electoral information is wrongly recorded; contact all three credit reference agencies, Experian, Equifax and Call Credit with a copy of the letter you have for them to update your records.

Three years for adverse information to banks I am afraid is very recent.

    Good luck!
