Sky cancellation

My Sky+ box broke down last weekend so I decided to cancel my Sky contract. I was required to give 1 month's notice, but of course I won't actually have access to the Sky service for that month, as the hardware is broken. Do I have any right to reclaim a partial refund for the month, on those grounds?

I would say if you report the problem then you should be entitled to a refund for the days its out of use from the time of reporting it.0

I did indeed report the problem on the day it occurred. I originally planned to get it fixed, but the engineers will only visit during working hours so I decided not to bother and cancelled instead.0
