Help With Faulty Goods From Currys

Hey there
Couldnt figure out where to post this so i gathered here would be as good a place as any.
At crimbo, i treated my self to a new mp4 player ( a samsung yp-p2) which worked really well, till one morning after charging it, the output sound was heavily distorted, and after trying may things to fix it (whic I cant be bothered listing theres that many things I tried) I come to the conclusion its faulty.
Problem is, i'v still got the reipt and most of the packing, but not all of the packing...will they take it back, or should they just take it anyway and offer me a replacement?
If they say no, and I am entitled to a replacement, what would be my next course of action?
Thanks in advance
Oz

After this length of time they may offer you a (proportionate) refund, a replacement or a repair. They may decide which option to offer.Gone ... or have I?0

I'd be happy with a replacement, its still in the manufacturers warranty...then main thing im worried about is the fact i dont have all the original packing, is this a major factor?0

No, not at all. As long as you have proof of purchase, you will be fine.
Remember they may only offer you a repair, it all depends on the retailer's policy.Gone ... or have I?0 -
As long as I get somthing that works, I shall be rather happy lol, thanks for the clarification on the packing side of things.0
