    Your insurance life/contents/building is a big chunk. I pay just over £28 for the same. Of course it depends where you live but you should try using a comparison site.

    i make that £1431, so there is another £300 going somewhere. if is is not going on reducing that VISA card, you need to work out where it is going. GEt out the old bank statemtns and check for annual costs for example.

    Have you got anything for car maintenance, household mantenance, clothing, do you take holidays?

    Divide up the annual costs by 12 and stash that much in an ISA to take advantage of the tax free savings. In a few months you will be able to pay these infrequent costs without using the CC.
