Will I have a problem with Lloyds TSB?

I have read a few posts where people are having trouble with Lloyds TSB.

We have been on the CCCS website and have come up with what seems like a pretty good DMP but I'm worried now because our main creditor is Lloyds TSB and we have a few different loans with them. Can/will they refuse the DMP payments?

Lloyds TSB are a pain in the butt, but when I went on a DMP through payplan they agreed to the arrangements (4 accounts) They kept ringing for about 3 months but it settled down after that. They are however very slow at providing paperwork and investigating themselves.
    June 2005 = 48K of Debt:cry:
Sept 2006 Started dmp = 56k of Debt (inc fees and charges) DFD April 2030:eek:
May 2008 = <5k of Debt (CCA route -48K, paid off 3K) DFD April 2010
Nov 2008 Lloyds found CCA for 14K loan:mad: New DFD Jan 2016

Happy so far tomorrows another day:confused:
  • Lloyds TSB are one of our main creditors, they were a pain in the neck when it comes to the phone calls,we had them for a few months. Then they agreed two of our accounts for a DMP,the other two accounts went to DCA.

    Hi

I have arranged my own DMP which has been going for 2 years, Some of my accounts with Lloyds are being run via a solicitors, but they are fine. They would not agree to anything, but I continued to pay them, and then negotiated with the solicitors.

My Lloyds CC is still with Lloyds, I am paying them monthly, but I have not heard a thing from them in the two years the DMP has been going.

I changed my telephone number at the time because I was trying to look after a newborn and all the calls from everyone was distressing. I am in contact with all via mail, but as I say, nothing from Lloyds CC.

I am sure you will be fine.

    Hiya

LLoyds TSB are one of our main creditors we owe about 5k on a CC, we arent drastically behind with it and wrote to them about a month ago now saying we are on the DMP.

They have rang every single day up to 3 times a day and left an automated message as well

We wrote to them and told them not to contact us by phone and sent it recorded delivery, this was about a week ago but they are still phoning, if they continue to phone for another week I will send another letter, we recognise the number now though ! I did speak to them on one occasion and they were very rude so I thought no thanks !

I am sure they will stop ringing soon and the advice is from them to contact CCCS for help so I will be quoting that to them if they get shirty - they either accept or they dont, we are not trying to run away from the debt or pretend we dont owe it, our circumstances have just gotten out of control and we need to make a different arrangement to pay it back, I have stopped worrying about them now there aint much they can do if we stick to our DMP, they dont scare me and dont let them scare you !

    Good luck

Lloyds TSB are a nightmare:mad: . But remember they can't have money you haven't got!!

Part of the problem is that all the calls I have received have been from employees who don't have English as a first language. They seem to either not understand what a debt management plan is, or pretend not to understand  .

Just say "We are with the CCCS, they are in contact with your relevant department" and hang up.

You are doing your best to deal with your situation and should be proud of that :T .
