To good to be true

This current HSBC deal looks pretty ideal for me (need to remortgage but will be selling up and moving into rented in the autumn/winter) but can anyone actually confirm that HSBC won't charge me any early redeption penalties when I sell up?

The website indicates that it doesn't but the call cantre staff want me to make a 2 hour appointment to confirm this and, since it's such a deal breaker, I don't want to waste my time if it's not true.

No ERCs but depending which deal you are looking at decides if its a good deal or not. I presume you're looking at the deal with no booking fee at 5.99% As if you're looking at the one with the £999 fee, then you need to take the fee into account and the saving that would give you over the next 6 months or so.

Also have to take into account any fees for leaving your current lender.

As HSBC don't deal with brokers I don't know what there service is like but reading on here suggest it's a little slow.
