Thursday 15/05/2008. What small dfw things will you do today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I have:
Have a great day everyone!

Well so far i have bought a cheque in that i "found" (i had forgoten about it  ) so will be putting that into my account (£33!) and i have checked my online banking, and bought in a nice packed lunch.

Well another NSD for me today
My other half made me a bacon sandwich to bring into work, so I had a treat at my desk.
Lunch is also brought in from home.
Dinner will be made out of what we have got in already and then the shopping will arrive after we’ve eaten so no need to go out and indulge in special offers.
Charging mobile at work
Sent promo packs out with second class stamp saving pennies but pennies make pounds
Getting costumes ready for this weekends shows later so keeps me occupied.
Need to order some bits for my costumes though so will have to look at how cheap I can get it at the wholesalers before we set out on Sunday – This is all budgeted for so its nothing major.
Keep it up guys0 -

Congrats Cleosmum! As you can see from my signature I know just how that feels.
Ok, it's not technically today - but yesterday I was picking my way through the football crowds and rubbish in Manchester city centre, and (I don't know how I saw it amongst all the litter), I found a £5 note! So I now believe everyone who says look at the ground as you walk and you might find cash. I was just looking out for broken glass...
Normally I would feel bad about finding someone else's money, but I'm thinking it makes up for the sleepless night I got from all the police helicopters!
As for today, got a frozen chili I made a few weeks ago out of the freezer for tea. Lunch is another matter, I'm going to have to go out. But will aim to keep it low.
