The only chance you have is with a nail varnish remover.......however, you may damage the wood.
Nail varnish is acrylic, and as someone who likes to paint using acrylics, I've never found another way. If you get it whilst its wet, it will wash off with water, but once it's dry....Proud to be dealing with my debts :T

DD2 spilt nail varnish on the window ledge and on the wall in my hall and I despaired of ever getting it off, until I tried that Flash Magic Eraser stuff. It is like a little white block of polystyrene and you dampen it and gently rub over what you want to remove. To my amazement it just dissolved the nail varnish and removed all trace, without damage to paintwork or wood. JML do a magic eraser thing too, and you can get generic ones in Home and Bargain, but I used the Flash one, and always keep some in the cupboard now.Jane
