can you please answer following questions-
1) is following correct : price on product- say per kg- sometimes differs from price on shelf. if store over charge by charging price on product you get money back and keep product. this is part of advert campaign on telly.
2) what is effect of stores under charging (price on product being cheaper than price on shelf and customer being charged price on product)
3) how do you know the price you are charged unless it's been through the till- say price of cheese was showing as £1 per kilo on packet but £2 per kilo on shelf. i only buy my cheese so stores will overcharge me and want to claim money back and have cheese for nothing. if i am charged correctly at till can i take cheese back and get a refund or is the moral of story only take chances on products you know you will use. thanks

I think it depends entirely on the store. For example Sainsbury's will have a different policy to Tesco or Asda.
If you want specific information on Tesco policy I suggest reading through one of the many Tesco misprice threads as this topic has been done to death in them!

1) this is correct, shelf price must be cheaper than what you were charged.
2) you don't get anything if you have been undercharged.
3) you can scan the product at one of the scanners instore. they are usually located somewhere in store. Ask a member of staff where they are. This will tell you the price you will be charged.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0
