The Money Shop
Hi All.
Has anyone ever used The Money Shop and can shed light on what happens?
Due to unforseen circumstances, I'm needing a small loan until I am paid next Friday - I've asked my parents but they struggle to get by as it is. I cannot get an overdraft but my friend suggested trying them as she walks past the shop everyday.
I've looked online and it says I need to take a bank statement, debit card, cheque book and wage slip. I can provide all these however, my debit card is a Solo card so am not sure if this would be accepted.
Also, do they do credit checks too? Any help would be really appreciated.

I have used The Money Shop in the past and find they are great for this type of service. They are certainly cheaper than the online Payday Loan types that have sprung up!
They just make sure that you are indeed able to repay the loan on the day you say you will!!!Cashback Sites
Quidco - £285.07 (Since July 07)
Bank Charges
HSBC - £4210 RECLAIMED!!
Nationwide, Cahoot, Alliance and Leicester - I'm coming for ya!0 -

I know they charge extortionate interest rates but needs must. Hopefully I will never need to use their services ever again but have to admit that I have in the past (and they helped me out of many a hole).
I only ever cashed personal cheques and in that instance, they will only cash upto the amount that your cheque card will cover, therefore the cheque cannot bounce and they are guaranteed their money back. Also there is no need to credit check, for the same reason, the cheque is guaranteed by the card. As you only have a solo card which doesn't guarantee cheques, I doubt you will be sucessful.
