Hey ho as we speak - received my third rejection five minutes ago - on the basis that it is concrete construction. They would offer me 60% LTV only. Very disappointing. Surely there are loads of concrete flats and people get mortgages for them?!!0

Payless,
The Abbey tend to let too much through (adverse) from what I have noticed. Believe you me the majority of recommended cases are going there.

Wow, I was years at Countrywide a massive firm and never saw anyone write that level of business!
20 - 30 case with Abbey alone. To meet TCF business spread rules you there fore must be writing what 100 cases per month:eek:
It takes me about one day to write one case (thats just to research and write it).
You must be earning about £500,000 per year, mmmmmm0 -

Sorry to hear that. It's such a horrible feeling when you keep banging on doors and people just shout NO in your face all the time. Keep trying and keep your chin up.
I've just had a phonecall to saying that Future Mortgages won't look at our application because they want my partners IVA to have been settled for 2 years. Effectively it has been (he cleared it in April 2006 with a lump sum payment to Debt Free Direct) but because creditors didn't claim the money until October 2006, the certificate of satisfaction says October. Another dead end......
Guess i'm going solo now......full application with Abbey tonight. Wish me luck.....I think I need it!2015 Wins - FA Community Shield Tickets0 -
Hi conrad
Countrywide was my previous employer. Well over 2 years ago. 20-30 cases through one lender on their massive panel per month. I wished!! Their BQM and TCF bods would have flagged me up on that one.

Well, I went through a full application tonight and the credit search came back declined.
Good news is that it only declined because my partners credit file still shows £8,000 outstanding on his IVA. This is not accurate because my partner cleared everything in April 2006 and the creditors are yet to update his file. I've informed Abbey that he has written letters to his creditors (which he has) and also has a certificate proving all funds have been paid.
It has now gone to the underwriters. Surely, this is good news for us? We only failed because of bad updating of credit files by old creditors so hopefully Abbey will understand this.
A 5.63% 3 year fixed mortgage would be too good to be true for us, especially with an IVA still lurking and general bad rates across the market. Am still crossing everything.......2015 Wins - FA Community Shield Tickets0 -
Underwriters declined it on basis of £8k outstanding on partners IVA. The IVA has been settled so they now want proof of settlement.
Partner is faxing them the docs and hopefully they will reconsider cos they had no other probs with our application and affordibility was good.
Should know in a day or two........fingers crossed!2015 Wins - FA Community Shield Tickets0
