There are indeed some good people in the world. Sadly there are lots of others that are not so good, and these are the ones we have now come to "expect".....

So we really should make it known that these good things happen - it may encourage other people to go down the "good guy" route when they have the choice!

(don't know if that makes sense, but it does to me!!)

I must admit when I was feeling low a couple of weeks ago, someone come up to me and asked if I was alright.

I must admit I didn't know whether to burst into tears and tell them everything or to burst into tears because I knew at that point I must have looked dreadful enough for them to ask!

I was heading into Leeds today to do my exams, and I called at Greggs to get some breakfast only to go in my pocket and find that my purse was no longer there, I'd obviously not zipped it up enough. So I get all stressed out and teary because I had no money, already quite stressed with exams and retraced my footsteps a bit and was no where to be seen....

Was getting worked up over how I could cancel my cards when I had no numbers on me, no time due to exams etc when my phone rung, and it was a nice man from the Yorkshire Building Society. He'd found my purse on the street and when he had looked what was in it to see if he could find out an address or something, he saw my Yorkshire Building Society cash card, and therefore pulled all my details up and rung me to say he had left it at the branch for me to collect.

Most people would have just took the purse, spent the money that was in it and tried to use the cards to buy numerous things on the internet!

A lovely story and it must be tempting to call Yorkshire and express your thanks to his management team, but to be honest, he was probably breaking some data protection act or another by looking up your details on file, on a non transaction related enquiry! Nuts, eh?!

Are you going to send a nice card to the branch to say thanks?
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
