Sun screen offers

Hi everyone,

I wondered if anyone knew of any good sunscreen offers?

OH and i are going on honeymoon to costa rica in july and i burn at the slightest hint of sunshine, so i need some good stuff!

Boots and superdrug have BOGOFs on so i was going to look there, but would be grateful to know of any other offers / recommendations.

I have read the 'which' report on sunscreen from 2006 and it surprisingly said that boots soltan (which i normally use) was not very good (cream that was supposed to have an spf of 15 actually had an spf of less than 9 in the 'which' tests). :eek:

The recommendations from 'which' are:

· Garnier Ambre Solaire Moisturising Protection Milk (SPF 18.1)
· Lancome Soleil Soft-Touch Moisturising Sun Lotion (SPF 16.7)
· L'Oreal Solar Expertise Advanced Protection Lotion (SPF 17.8)
· Piz Buin In Sun (SPF rating 17.5)

NB the spf numbers above are the actual spf of creams marked spf 15. Hope that makes sense.....


Anyway, I need a big bottle (400ml?)of factor 40, preferably extra water resistant (i'm thinking the kids stuff ) and possibly insect repellant as well....

Think i'm asking too much, but any tips much appreciated!

boots buy one get one free on garnier ambre solair,i got a bottle for me and kids bottle for dd for £11.99

meant to say my local somerfield last week had the ambre solair on bogof but it worked out at £14.99 so cheaper going to boots

our asda had ambre solair on offer this week, shelves were half empty cant remember the price wasnt really looking as we didnt need any but it was cheap think it was 3 for £12 sure someone will have seen it

Oh no, just purchased Boots Soltan factor 50, lets hope it is at least factor 40!! The Which report is 2 years old, lets hope they have improved it.
