Olive bread in my MR bread maker?

I'm baking a loaf of white bread in my Morphy Richards B/M. Does anyone know if i can just add olives when the beeper goes, to make olive bread.

I'm making a 2lb loaf, how many olives do i use and do i wash the brine off the olives first?

Thanks for any help.

I would wash and dry them a bit.

I suppose you would add them at the beep, if that's when you add things like fruit etc.
Are you going to chop them up a bit?

Definitely wash them. I would add a cupful of chopped olives, also add a little chopped or dried garlic flakes.

I would then top the loaf with a little drizzle of olive oil and sprinkle sea salt over before baking.

    Delicious!!!

probably a silly question but how do you know when the bread is ready to be baked in the machine, mine mixes for a while, beeps to let you add more stuff (eg the olives) and then mixes again but at what point would you put the oil on top...am worried that I might lift the lid at the wrong time
    thanks

To be honest, I generally cook mine in the oven as I don't like the look of my bread cooked in the BM.

Usually (at least in my BM) the last 40 minutes is baking time, so anytime near then would be ok. Also, I would keep oil to a minimum in case it burns in the BM (maybe use a brush to apply).

If you are using the mr fastbake like mine on basic 2lb then the bread starts to cook when the timer shows 1.00hr left so I would guess that you could drizzle the oil on when the timer shows 1.10 or 1.05 if your a fast worker!
