Debt Question?

I have a debt from about 7-8 years ago which I am struggling to pay (robbing peter to pay paul). I have sent a letter to the company handling the debt to request a full statement of all my payments to them to date. Is this right? Do they have to supply this on request?
I have never had any sort of balance from them other than over the phone when I have asked them.
Also, does anyone know what I need to write in a letter to ask them to stop contacting me by phone and instead correspond by mail. I understand that if you ask them to stop they have to but just don't know how to word it.

Have you kept a record of the payments you made, how they were paid etc? Do you have proof you paid them? Ask for a final balance, to see exactly what you owe. I would have thought that they should send you an annual statement if nothing more. How was the loan applied for? Telephone banking? If not, then you should expect some proper paperwork. look at http://www.cccs.co.uk/Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0
