Personally I hate the things, I used to use them when I worked in kitchens and it's so very easy to loose concentration and hurt yourself ... hence why I have a slightly stumpy fingertip on my right hand (I never did find the bit I chopped off lol). I really wouldn't want one in my own kitchen, they're far too dangerous, too hard to clean and really a bit of a novelty. Give me a good, sharp knife any day.

I agree wholeheartedly. Even in professional hands (or what's left of them) they are f*ck*ing lethal. My "Crocodile Dundee" 19cm long "now that's a knife" cooks knife is infinitely safer. It's my little 8cm veg' knife that still gets me every now and again!

Ummmm.....confession time...I've had one (the quality variety) for <<coughs>> about 2 years I think. Its still in its packaging. I WILL get round to trying it honest! But my excuse is I have such a small kitchen that its had to be in the understairs cupboard - errmmm...outa sight, outa mind.

I like mine, but only use it for certain things. I'm not sure I'll keep it when my 22yr old food processor gives up the ghost and I get a superduper magimix! Don't hold your breath chaps, I've been expecting this to happen for about 10 years! Had it as a wedding gift and it's been fabulous.

Please resist the urge to impulse buy.

They offer no advantages and are positively dangerous to use.

A sharp, well cared for knife is just as good. Please save your money and your fingers!!
:o Keep trying.........................what else is there to do? :o
