New Furbys At Tesco's (2005 Emotronics Version)

Called at Tesco (Chesterfield) on my way home tonight and browsing through the toy section (looking for the reduced Barbie bikes which apparently are in the back ready to be put out on sale by the way - assuming any left!), I noticed they had the new Furby's on sale at just under £40.00 (2005 emotronics ones). Whether these are a Grabbit I don't know, but sure to be a Christmas List item!

i got one from argos last wednesday and they had sold out this week. so don`t know whether that is a sign.
but i remember when the teletubbies first came out about 10 yrs ago, and tossing a coin with another buyer who wanted the last one in our town....

Are Furby's still in favour with kids?
I thought that the talking remote control Dalek was going to be the must have/hard to find item this Christmas. The new cheaper smaller Nintendo Gameboy will probably be flying off the shelves too.
  • Having done a search for this years "hot toys" out of interest and searching the web,
Robosapien V2, Amazing Amanda, (a mechanical toddler costing £70!) , the new Furby and updated tamagotchi's are up there along with PSP etc etc. If Argos are selling out and Hasbro have limited stocks they're releasing I was just trying to help someone avoid paying £80 for one of these Furby's in December if they can find one in their local Tesco's as I paid way over the odds for last year's pink tamagotchi in December!!!!!! Agree that a Furby wouldn't be my first choice - lol!!!

They are £32.99 in ASDA !! Saw 3 today although didn`t get one, as they look quite scary for my 3 year old daughter ! Although I gave her my old one, that I had when I was a kid and she loves it !!

Didn't know furbies were that old :S
  • I bought one when they were first released in Argos, was scared in case they were sold out by December. I paid £39.99. Wish I'd waited and got one from Asda now.

Please no not the Furby again.

The last one was seen orbiting our house following a collision with my husbands foot.

    How annoying
