I really struggled to line the pan in my BM with greaseproof paper when trying out the gingerbread cake recipe. Does anyone have any tips please?

I just use one large piece and put it in (straight in the centre) and then just fold the excess of the pan. I don't think there is any other way

I have not tried baking cake in my BM yet. But my inclination would be to cut two strips of paper - each slightly wider than the width of the pan, so as to get an overlap - and put them crossways over each other in the pan so there are two layers at the bottom of the pan and one up each side. That would minimise paper wastage, too...
