This is still on preorder, so I think you got the old one. The one I found will be released on 14th November, just in time for Xmas.

yeah the one listed on tesco's is the pre-order for the re-release. the listings on amazon etc are for the older 2002 or 2003 releases and probably just don't have their new pre-order listing up yet.0

anyhow,
new one for £116 or old one for £172, I know which one I'm getting

There was something a while ago about one of the disks that was in the set. The disk had additional scenes and interviews that the actor had not given permission for and he wanted it withdrawn (think the disk was Living Daylights). All the disks that had previously gone on sale to the public suddenly became like gold dust and were selling for silly money on Ebay. The sets were going for well over £200 each.

i read on a dvd site that the new set have been restored to the original cinema release.
the living daylights as mentioned above has had the head butting scene restored and when felix lighter gets eatern by the shark the scene is longer its just small scene's which were removed by the BBFC and restored but if you are a bond fan like me you know that bits are missing anf the film is not the same which is why i never watch them on ITV0 -
Just bought the 20 dvd set off Ebay from the US for £50... brand new and sealed.0

If anyone has this on pre-order you may wish to cancel it NOW as Amazon now have it at £97.99 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000BZND4/qid=1129537616/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_11_1/202-7759174-4186266)
and both Play.com and Sendit.com have it for £99.99 so it wasn't a bargain afterall.0
