  • Well they haven't said anything else to me, just acting as if it hasn't happenned . I'm trying to track down the extremely hard to find manager and ask.

Also, something weird happenned on the day the money was taken and I've realised it's possible I could have been conned by a customer lol? It was strange and confusing and the till was open for ages. I did mention it to the manager when she asked if there were any unusual occurences?

As long as you've already told them, you should be ok - did you tell the manager what the "wierd" thing was?

Yeh I explained it all, she seemed very interested and wrote it down. I didn't think much of it at the time.

I was thinking, if I got sacked, would I actually have to tell future employers about it? It's only a part-time job that I've been doing a couple of months so could I just not mention the job on the application form at all? Or is that really bad..

Are there no end of day or cash-up procedures that would have brought this to light when you finished on the till?
    Not even wrong

You can't pretend the job never happened as you'll have tax and National Insurance records...if you get a job and didn't mention a previous employment which ended unusually, this could come back to bite you.

It's really in your best interests to sort this out cleanly and clearly so that it's a blip without trace or future comeback.
