Hello
I need to get Word for my Mac as it is a pain not having it (I've held out for 4 years now!). I am a student and have seen it for £99 on amazon/apple but wonder if there is another way?
Many thanks

Do you actually need Word?
Can't you use Open Office? it's free and compatible with all Microsoft office formats.

i use openoffice too - it's very good and the price point is brilliant! :money:
seriously, it looks just like word too. i wouldn't put any microsoft garbage on my mac unless i ABSOLUTELY had to - and that will never happen!!

You can get it for £35 if you are a student from here: http://www.software4students.co.uk/Microsoft_Office_2008_for_Mac-details.aspx or here: http://www.rm.com/thebasement/basementrange.asp?cref=br1063770&SrcURL=/thebasement/products0

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.0

I agree open office is free and easy to use, however remember to save it in the right format so that computers with word can open it too.0
