Buying Word/office for Mac?

Hello

I need to get Word for my Mac as it is a pain not having it (I've held out for 4 years now!). I am a student and have seen it for £99 on amazon/apple but wonder if there is another way?

Many thanks

    Do you actually need Word?

Can't you use Open Office? it's free and compatible with all Microsoft office formats.

i use openoffice too - it's very good and the price point is brilliant! :money:

seriously, it looks just like word too. i wouldn't put any microsoft garbage on my mac unless i ABSOLUTELY had to - and that will never happen!! :)

I agree open office is free and easy to use, however remember to save it in the right format so that computers with word can open it too.

I use Open Office, if you have any issus with it, there is a dedicated open office forum.
