Don't you have mortgage payment protection, if you do, why don't you try to claim off the policy. In fact try and claim off all your payment protections policies for any loan, credit cards etc. No point in paying out for these policies if your not claiming on them.

Didnt you know (according to many internet "advice" websites) that MPPI and all other PPI insurance is a rip-off and you shouldnt take it out? And that if you do have it you must have been mis-sold it, so why not make a mis-selling claim!
/end sarcasm.

From my experience husband was made redundant and we claimed on our mortgage protection successfully, mortgage was with nationwide. W also managed to claim for a loan that he had. If OP is already paying out for her policy she might as well claim as well.
It may well be a rip off in some cases but it certainly helped me out in my own situation!!Debt Free!!!0 -
I say again..

I was using the situation to point out the value of MPPI to the various people / organisations out there known as the "Anti MPPI Brigade" who say that its pointless and of little value, and that if you have been sold it then you should claim for mis-selling. Which of course is not always the case.0 -
